License & Pro
What a ChargeForms license actually unlocks — four specific features, and how many sites one key activates on.
Activating a license
Go to ChargeForms → Global Settings → License, paste your key, and click Activate. That's the entire flow — no separate account dashboard to visit first.
What a license actually does
Exactly two things:
- Unlocks four specific features — see below. Nothing else on the License screen's own "What Pro adds" card, which is kept deliberately short and in sync with what's actually gated in the plugin's code.
- Raises how many sites one key can be active on — Single Site (1), Agency (5), or Unlimited, depending on which plan you bought.
Everything else — core form-building, conditional logic, multi-step forms, Stripe/PayPal payments and subscriptions, entry management, one SMTP connection, all 7 direct integrations plus Webhook, and every spam- protection tool — is unconditionally free, with no time limit and no submission cap, on every site, with or without a license.
The 4 gated features
- CSV Entry Import — bulk-add submissions to a form from a CSV file. (Exporting entries to CSV or JSON stays free.)
- Industry Pack templates — curated template sets for Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Legal, Restaurant, Events, and Non-profit. Every general-purpose template (16 of 27) stays free.
- Save & Resume button field — the front-end field a visitor clicks to save partial progress and finish later from an emailed link. The underlying engine — draft storage, resume tokens, automatic cleanup — already runs free for everyone; only the button field itself is Pro.
- Multiple SMTP connections — connect more than one email service at once (for example, one for notifications and a separate one for payment receipts). A single, fully-functional SMTP connection is always free.
If a license lapses
A form already using one of the four gated features — Save & Resume, for example — keeps working even after a license lapses. Only adding one of them to a form that doesn't already have it requires an active license.
Plans
Single Site, Agency, and Unlimited differ only in how many sites the license activates on — every paid plan includes the exact same feature set described above. See the pricing page for current plan pricing.
